Jason performs with NC Vibe at the Fairgrounds for the City of Raleigh's Fourth of July Celebration. The band goes on sometime around 8:00 pm before the fireworks begin. NC Vibe is a diverse group of young musicians, singers and songwriters who have combined a mix of rock, jazz and funk music into their own distinctive sound. NC Vibe first came together, while writing and recording music, for the independent film “The Prince of Hitsville,” which has recently been selected to appear in the New York City International Film Festival (NYCIFF). Its members play with other bands, but not limited to: The Rusty Bucket Band from The Rusty Bucket kids TV Show, The Duke Jazz Ensemble, The Durham Symphony Orchestra and The Triad Youth Jazz Society Ensemble. The band members include: Ryan Bowden, 17 (Greensboro), drums; Jason Damico, 16(Raleigh), vocals, drums, guitar; Jared Jackson, 17(Greensboro),bass, trumpet; Alan Thompson, 18(Greensboro), keys, sax; Kelsey Walston, 16(Raleigh), vocals and Austin Webster, 19(Pittsboro), guitar. All members of the group are currently music majors or plan to major in music or musical theatre after graduating high school.
