Jason Franklin Damico Biography (1994- )

Jason Damico, actor, dancer, musician, singer/songwriter and teenager born on January 11, 1994 in Raleigh, NC to Frank and Diane Damico.  He landed his first professional modeling job at a young age and at seven years old, secured his first acting role.  Jason continues to pursue acting in the TV, film and theatrical venues including past projects for Discovery TV, HBO and Broadway where he had the privilege of auditioning with Tony Award winning composer, Jason Robert Brown.  Jason is presently an actor,  musician and vocalist for The Rusty Bucket Band from The Rusty Bucket Kids TV Show which has been nominated for three Emmy Awards including music.

As a toddler, Jason's fascination with the science of sound became apparent with his ability to discern individual instruments in a score of music.  Beginning formal piano lessons at three, drums at four and guitar at nine, he started performing professionally at thirteen in local coffee shops, private parties, weddings and church where he is affectionately known as Drummin' Damico.  In his studio, Jason enjoys singing, songwriting, recording and producing music for himself and others which allows him to combine his love for music with his aptitude and curiosity towards science and technology. 

Having been homeschooled for most of his education, Jason Damico is a member of The National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society and in both sophomore and junior years of high school was nominated for Homecoming King.  Voted 2011 Youth Artist of the Year by the Carolina Music Awards. A Recipient of the Best Overall Musician award from the UNC Wilmington Music Department's Summer Jazz Workshop, a member of the elite Jazz Force Band directed by John V Brown, Jr. and at 15 years of age become one of the youngest members of the Duke University Jazz Ensemble. At Duke he had the privilege of performing with jazz greats such as Vincent Gardner, Ray Codrington, Kevin Mahogany and Monty Alexander.

Jason has been nominated as a National Scholar and to the Governor's School of North Carolina, "the oldest statewide residential program for academically or intellectually gifted high school students in the nation." During middle school, he qualified for the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP) for the academically gifted and talented in the areas of math and science. By the age of ten Jason had earned a Platinum Award from the Presidential Volunteer Service Award Program earning over 135 hours of community service in one year.

To date Jason Damico Music has produced  For You (released on February 10, 2011) and Represent for C.M. Represent (released on September 4, 2011) both available on iTunes, Amazon.com, CD-Baby, etc.
